NATIONAL TREASURE

Heather Cox Richardson (HCR) is a national treasure. She’s as important to history and what’s happening today in America as Ruth Bader Gingsberg (RBG) was to the Supreme Court and justice.

They both persisted.

In regard to resisting HCR says that we should keep doing what we’re doing because every little bit of resistance helps. Not all of us can take to the streets. The ones that are able, do. So, I’m going to keep writing. It’s what I do. It’s my small contribution. Others contribute by reading and sometimes sharing.

My wife and I share with others what we think and believe. We share videos. We share the written word. We also make small donations to the cause because every dollar counts. I contact elected officials, including those that I appreciate to thank them for what they’re doing.

Silence is complicity. Silence won’t protect you.

What can you do? Same. Talk to your neighbor/s. Share stories. Share your life experiences. Your family matters. The children matter. Future generations matter. Our democracy matters. You matter.

Richardson is consistently a voice of calm and reason by contrast to the chaos that is MAGA. The chaos of evil and destruction. She uses her incredible knowledge of history and what’s taking place currently to be a voice of calm and reason. Her knowledge and insight are invaluable. She keeps what is going on in perspective.

I especially like it when she teams up with Joanne Freeman, a fellow historian. HCR has the kind of smile that lights up a room as does Joanne Freeman.

She does use a lot of words but at times I just listen to her read her newsletter because that option is also available. A link to audio of her written comments is sent after her letters.

Let’s keep resisting however we can, wherever we can, whenever we can.
